Factors Driving State Fishing License Sales and Revenues
This project, using data from 36 states, identifies the factors that affect
fishing license sales to and explains how these factors impact each
state's annual license sales and revenues. The results are very useful
in understanding what causes people to fish or not fish, and the varying
degree of impact each variable has on sportfishing participation. This
study was conducted by ASA, state fisheries agencies and the International
Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.
