New Year, New Resources
RBFF offers new boating & fishing photos, public service announcements, educational materials and online tools
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) has a number of new resources to help stakeholders ‘reel in’ customers. With everything from high-quality boating and fishing photos and public service announcements to refreshed educational materials and more online tools, RBFF hopes to continue inspiring participation among boaters and anglers in 2010.
“We encourage fishing and boating manufacturers, retailers, clubs and organizations to use these high-quality materials in their outreach efforts,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “RBFF will continue to build on these valuable resources that help communicate the joys of boating and fishing and also serve as a tool for our stakeholders to increase participation in the sport.”
Market the Sport
- New freshwater and saltwater boating and fishing photos are available as part of the newly-created Take Me Fishing™ photo library. Built to help stakeholders with their boating and fishing outreach efforts, the photos feature a variety of scenarios.
- Anglers’ Legacy™ print public service announcements (PSAs) use dynamic new imagery and messaging to encourage outdoor enthusiasts to ‘make a promise that’s easy to keep’ and take someone new fishing. These PSAs are available in three creative concepts; memories made with friends, passing down the legacy to new generations, and the importance of conservation and protecting our waterways.
Educate Youth
- The first-ever Take Me Fishing Scouting Patch Program offers three new boating and fishing patches for Cub Scouts and Scouts. The Passport Patch, First Catch Patch and Mentor Patch promote the merits of the sport and encourage scouts to plan and organize fishing trips using resources found at TakeMeFishing.org.
- With a new look and updated content, the Passport to Boating & Fishing Program provides skills, techniques and information that instructors need to teach boating and fishing.
Connect Online
- New saltwater and freshwater fishing content on TakeMeFishing.org helps boaters and anglers of all ages and experience levels plan for a day on the water.
- A new chat feature on Fishington—RBFF’s social network for boaters and anglers—allows members to chat in real time with other members in the ‘Fishington Lobby’ or group chat rooms.
- Fishington members can now also connect their profile to Facebook, posting messages, photos and videos on both sites with one click.
Additional materials, including the Take Me Fishing Event Planning Kit and Marketing Guide are available free to stakeholders. For more information visit RBFF.org.
