Protecting Your Business Interests
ASA fosters strong relationships with Members of Congress, conservation and recreation partners and state and federal government leaders to ensure that sportfishing interests are well represented when policy decisions are made. Advocating on behalf of all our members is ASA’s way of keeping watch on the existing and potential laws and policies that significantly affect our members’ businesses and sportfishing itself. We give the sportfishing industry a resonating voice in influential circles in all states and the nation’s capital.

ASA’s online Legislative Action Center enables members to easily contact their Members of Congress or reach the media within a geographic area to assist ASA in its advocacy efforts. ASA members can easily find information about pending legislation and other actions that could impede access to their favorite fishing and destination spots.

Adovacating for Our Nation's 60 Million Anglers
ASA is the parent organization for KeepAmericaFishing™. Since 1933, ASA has represented the interests of the entire sportfishing community to help ensure that we have clean water, abundant fish and plenty of places to go fishing. In July 2010, ASA launched KeepAmericaFishing as a way for anglers to get involved in advocating for their sport. The website – www.KeepAmericaFishing.org – is the vehicle through which anglers can engage in advocacy, sign up to receive news and alerts and show their support by contributing to the campaign.

ASA members have the right to use the KeepAmericaFishing brand and logo to promote the nation’s anglers’ right to sustainably fish on our public waterways.  If you are interested in receiving an exclusive KeepAmericaFishing promotional packet, please go to www.ASAfishing.org/tellmemore. As a corporate partner you can provide financial and in-kind support to KeepAmericaFishing.
