@repwalberg (MI-05) has introduced the Responsible Cormorant Management and Control Act to support science-based management of double-crested cormorants nationwide.
Overabundant populations are impacting fish stocks across the U.S., and this legislation would empower states and tribes, working with regional flyway councils, to manage these impacts responsibly.

And the momentum is growing. Led by @reprobwittman (R-VA) and @repsarahelfreth (D-MD), the bipartisan MAWS Act cleared the House last month. The bill would help establish a strong market for harvested blue catfish, supporting local economies and gathering data that will support fisheries management in the Bay.
